More photographs from Monday

I was wrong about the Budleia globosa having a second flowering. The clusters are much larger and a slightly lighter shade. The other tree, which was in flower in June, is still there, with its dead flowers still attached, only a few metres away.

Here are some more photographs from Monday's visit.

Sea Buckthorn
Species: Hippophae rhamnoides
Family: Elaeagnaceae

Reed Mace
Species: Typha latifolia
Family: Typhaceae

Lovely, and a distinctive shade of mauve, but my books don't cover it.

Elder?? The trees really have me defeated, berries or no berries.
