Yesterday was stunning. I went to mark my crosses on ballot papers at the Docklands Settlement and then crossed the road and was submerged into a world of dappled light and bright green leaves. It was a particularly beautiful day, and everything in Russia Dock Woodland looked bright and new, everything fresh and sparkling. There was even a family of Canada geese at Globe Pond, the junior members fluffy and tentative, the parents hissing at passing dogs. It was lovely to see the main green liberally dotted with people reading, sunbathing and playing with their children. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the sunshine and the scenery. Super.
