Reaching Rotherhithe - An experiment in urban design

An interesting project has reached its conclusion on the Reaching Rotherhithe blog - a hypothetical remodeling of the Bermondsey and west Rotherhithe area between the Thames and Jamaica Road by University of Greenwich students of urban design.  It's more Bermondsey than Rotherhithe, but it's a lot of fun. I've been following them vaguely on Twitter for some time.

In the students' vision a lot of the residential building is demolished to make way for community buildings, lots more Thames frontage, green spaces and a set of canals. The photo here is only one of many on the Reaching Rotherhithe blog.
